Ladder Update 1


The next step o took in the towards the completion of this project was decided to get the interactive elements of the room working rather then focus in how the room looked as in my opinion the presentation and look of the room isn't a priority in comparison to the functionally of all the interactive elements in the room.

I decided I would first add a ladder to the room leading up to a higher platform the user can also access, in the future I may add another interactive feature up on the platform to add a different dynamic to the playable area. The rungs of the ladder is made of multiple grouped "BP_PickupCube" elements. the reason I decided to use these elements rather than a normal "cube" or "plane"  is that in the VR template given in Unreal Engine 4, the pickup cubes already have some base blueprint implemented to them which can edit and improve to intreact with the user how i want them to. Doing this will in turn save me time.
